The local Hamtpon Roads Brewing clubs were contacted by a representative of John Palmer and offered a FREE seminar on water brewing chemistry. John, renowned author of the great homebrewing books "How to Brew", ""Brewing Classic Styles" and "Water - A Comprehensibe Guide for Brewers" will be traveling through our area on Monday, February 1st and thought is would be a great opportuinity to talk to local homebrerwers and share a little of his knowledge with us.
The seminar will be held at Commonwealth Brewing in Norfolk (time TBD) in their conference room. Following the talk, John will be meeting with the atendees (and sharing a beer or two I'm sure) and has offered to sign books if there is a desire. John will not have boooks with him; however, Elizabeth from Homebrew USA should have books available for purchase if you have not yet picked up these great brewing works.
This is an awesome offer and opportunity presented to us. Lets get a great turnout from HAMS to show John how much we appreciate what he does for the homebrew community. I'm sure we can set up some carpools if desired.
As more details become available, I will post them here.
