My name is Bob Boyle and I joined the Smithfield H.A.M.S. at the November 2015 meeting.
I first started brewing beer while in college back in the 90's and continued after college for a couple of years. Then life got in the way (marriage, night-school, kids, etc.) and before I knew it 12 years went by without me brewing a single batch.
I decided that 12 years was too long and I wanted to get back at it, so I stopped by the Learn to Brew day held at Brew and Bottle in Nov. 2015 and meet some super nice folks from Smithfield H.A.M.S. and they invited me to stop by the next club meeting. When I showed up, I immediately knew I wanted to join.
I now have two extract beer batches and two cider batches under my belt and I'm back into the groove. I'm already planning my next several batches and I look forward to plenty of learning and sharing with the Smithfield H.A.M.S. in 2016.
